Joakim Noah‘s grandfather, Zacharie, had the honor and pleasure of watching, for the very first time, the Chicago Bull’s star play in an NBA game. GrandPa Zacharie is from the Republic of Cameroon. Also in attendance at Tuesday’s game was Noah’s sister, Yelena.

Noah gave Zacharie much to be proud of as he finished the game against the Indiana Pacers with 14 pts, 8 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 4 blocks.

After the game, Noah entered the stands to embrace his grandfather, who was clearly moved by the whole experience….

Gus Johnson Will Announce Pacquiao-Mosley Bout

Popular sports announcer Gus Johnson has been tapped to announce the May 7th fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Johnson will join Al Bernstein and boxer Antonio Tarver ringside, while James Brown and Jim Gray host.

Chris Paul In Action On Sports Illustrated Cover

Chris Paul has been all the rage during this first round of NBA Playoffs. He has given his all in an attempt to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers and reminded folks that he is one of the most talented and able point guards in the League.

Paul finished the Hornets 90-106 loss to the Lakers with a record matching double-double of 20 pts and 12 assists.

The true test will be whether or not he and his teammates can knuckle down and push the Lakers to a Game 7.
