Two of the NBA’s biggest stars had fans holding their collective breath after each one suffered an ankle injury in their last games.
Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose are arguably the keys to both their teams success and injuries to either player could spell the end of a championship quest for the Lakers or Bulls.
Well, take a sigh of relief.
Both men will play tonight.
Kobe, opted not to have his ankle tested, preferring instead to tough it out, as he has done during past injuries. Rose kept his sprained ankle in a walking boot up until yesterday and opted for massages and hot/cold treatments and to lessen the pain.
The defending champion Lakers host the New Orleans Hornets at Staples Center, 10:30 PM ET, while the Bulls look to close out their series against the Indiana Pacers at home in the United Center, 8 PM ET. Both games will be broadcast on TNT.
