The City of Angels Goes Viral for its NFL Hopes and Dreams

Football will return to Los Angeles, no doubt. The issue remains when and where. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and a bunch of happy Los Angeleans are featured in this light-hearted video to the NFL, extolling the virtues of LA. Michael Oher: Ravens Lineman Tells Story His Way

Let’s get right to it. The motion picture The Blind Side, for some, made for a great and heartfelt theater experience. For others, it felt unreasonable and borderline racist.

The movie, based on a book penned by Michael Lewis, tells the true-life story of a Tennessee teen (Michael Oher) who is rescued from his hard knocks life by a well to do suburban family. The film starred Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw as Leigh Anne and Sean Touhy (Bullock won an Oscar for her portrayal of the feisty, yet compassionate, my way-or-the high way mom).

Luol Deng, forward for the Chicago Bulls, returned to his homeland of Sudan (he had not been there in nearly 20 years) in conjunction with the UN Refugee Agency.

The visit was filmed by famed commercial director Bryan Buckley and the footage was turned into a commercial campaign to raise awareness to the plight of the victims and survivors of decades of civil war.
