NBA Commissioner David Stern was a guest on Jim Rome’s radio show Wednesday.
Rome is known to be controversial and straightforward. This is fine. So it was no surprise when he asked Stern whether or not the 2012 NBA Draft was fixed (the New Orleans Hornets won the first pick).
What was a surprise was Stern’s answer. “NO….Shame on you for asking.” This was followed by “have you stopped beating your wife yet?” Yup, that’s right. David Stern asked Jim Rome THAT question.
What ensued was some of the best radio I’ve heard in a long time.
As far as NBA mom’s go, Wanda Pratt is currently the reigning champ. Her season seats to Oklahoma City Thunder games are court side, and her hair and makeup remain flawless. She is graceful, poised, and the biggest supporter and self-professed critic of her son, Kevin Durant.
Ochocinco was released from the New England Patriots Thursday. They tries to trade him, to no avail, so out the door he was sent.
I can’t say I didn’t see this coming. His time in New England always seemed to be in limbo; a strange recipe from the beginning.
Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry might be ready to part ways with the city of Atlanta (he played five seasons with the Atlanta Hawks) for good. He’s selling his home there.
Terry’s Sandy Springs home, built in 2000, is listed at 1.89 million. It has seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and three half-baths. There is a barber/beauty salon, chef’s kitchen, three-car garage, and a pool.
I’m gonna place a bid on it right away. 🙂
Advance the ball for photos of the house.
It is time to appreciate LeBron James

Is LeBron James unappreciated? Papa GM believes so
Lebron James was awesome Thursday night.
Putting aside the earned disapproval he rightfully received for the tactless way he orchestrated his exit from The Forest City (Cleveland), I think its time to end the undeserved criticism routinely aimed his way for no good reason. Advance the ball for more
