Ochocinco urges Roger Goodell to ‘lead us out of this mess’
Chad Ochocinco (perhaps soon to be Johnson, again) has penned an open letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Referring to Goodell as “dad,” which he has been doing for some time now, Ocho implores the commish to remove the layer of sugar and syrup off of the world of the NFL and give it to us straight — that being, the game of football is not for play. No pun intended.

VIDEO: Ray Allen’s pregame routine a study in perfection
There is a reason Ray Allen leads the NBA in all-time three point shooting. He’s relentless in his pursuit.
Dedication to one’s craft most certainly equates to longevity and success and Ray is a prime example of such.
I asked a source close to the NBA star about the number of shots he puts up before each game and was told,
It depends on what he is working on. It’s not quantity, but quality. He always practices shots he knows he will take in the game; and practices them as if he is in the game.
Boston Celtics team photographer Brian Babineau captured Allen’s pregame routine in short film form.
Advance the ball to witness focus, greatness, and one of the most beautiful jump shots you’ll ever see in basketball.

Junior Seau dies in apparent suicide
After early reports of a shooting at his Oceanside, CA residence, it has been confirmed that Former NFL linebacker Junior Seau has died.
According to TMZ:
We’re told Seau sent text messages to his ex-wife and 3 kids yesterday saying, “Love you.” We’re told they all responded and didn’t suspect anything was wrong. We’re told he last saw his kids 3 weeks ago.
Sources close to Seau tell us family members didn’t notice any signs of depression in recent weeks.
Authorities believe Seau took his own life.
If this is the case, and pending results of an autopsy, this tragic incident could lend weight to the argument that some former NFL players suffer lingering emotional and mental effects of their playing days.
Seau played 20 years in the NFL, most notably as a star for the San Diego Chargers. He ended his career as a New England Patriot.
