Pilar Sanders visits GMA, says nothing Deion Sanders says is true

Pilar Sanders, finally free from a gag order stemming from her April arrest on domestic assault charges, spoke with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America about her pending divorce from Deion Sanders, and its affect on her and their children.

In the interview, Pilar implies that Deion is a one-dimensional parent, only capable of interacting with their children as it relates to sports.

Currently, Deion has temporary custody of the children, but that cold change at a custody hearing scheduled for May 15.

To me, a father interacts with his children on more than just one level, on more than just sports,” she said. “There was never a question of whether I had full custody anyway. Deion traveled and he worked all the time and the only interaction he ever really had with our children was during sports, practices or games, so it really was never a question who was the primary parent of our children.

Pilar does her best to clown Deion in the interview, outing him for playing the media for financial gain. She said…

We’re dealing with a man who admittedly said he fooled the media, he concocted another character just to earn more money, well, this is the same thing,” Pilar said of her husband’s publicizing their divorce. “This is ‘Primetime’ and this is Deion Sanders that you’re seeing all-in-one.”
“That ‘Primetime’ never died off,” she said. “It’s still him and he’s still here and he’s still dancing and laughing and doing everything he did years ago in his college dorm room when he created ‘Primetime.’ He’s still at it.

This is getting uglier by the day. I don’t remember the last time a divorce was so contentious and public within the sports world. I wish the kids weren’t involved. They deserve better than to have their parents acting like rats fighting in the street.
