Not only do we have regular season football to look forward to in September, now we have a new sports-centered reality show to add to our list of must-see programming.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, ESPN has ordered series episodes of last year’s pilot of Rise Up, a show where the network makes over the athletic programs of high schools in need.
The 2011-12 NFL season can now commence. Player reps have unanimously agreed to accept the ratified collective bargaining agreement set forth by the league’s owners. The lockout is over.

Basketball Wives co-stars Meeka Claxton and Tami Roman are now embroiled in a legal battle. Reportedly, while the cast was filming in Rome, Italy, the two ladies had a fight (which most would assume Tami won) and now Meeka is suing Tami.
According to the lawsuit, filed yesterday in New York, Tami “assaulted, battered, beat, threatened, menaced, attacked, jumped on, pushed to the ground, thrashed, punched, and shoved” Meeka … causing serious injury.
There is always something with these feisty chicks. Â I’m not sure how this will play out, but Meeka wants Tami to pay up for her lost wages (apparently she missed a day of filming), Â pain and suffering.
At some point the physical altercations amongst the ladies must end, but when the moment presents itself to give someone a dose of “act right,” right or wrong, some people do what they feel they have to do.
I suppose this is the episode we will see on Monday.
