MEET THE PREZ: Green Bay Packers Fulfill Promise On White House Visit

Letting the President of the United States know that you’ll be paying him a visit will most likely land you in hot water – unless your name is Charles Woodson and you and your team mates just solidified a trip to the Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

If you remember, Woodson let the President know that he didn’t want to go watch the Packers in the Super Bowl, it was okay because they would be going to see him as champs.

Well, the Green Bay Packers won the game, and guess what?

That trip occurred Friday and although President Obama was delighted to host the Super Bowl champs in his home, he couldn’t help but make it clear that he is a Chicago Bears fan, even going so far as to suggest a trade, jokingly, that would send Packers quarterback to Soldier Field.

The team presented President Obama with a custom jersey that read Commander In Chief and shares of stock in the Packers franchise. For those who don’t know, The Green Bay Packers are the only publicly owned, not-for-profit sports organization. Yes, that means you are free to invest in the team if you wish.

Here are a few twit pics from the day:
