REPLAY: Reggie Bush Swaps Lives on CBS Show Same Name

Reggie Bush Same Name

Hearing the name Reggie Bush makes one think of USC, the Heisman trophy, the New Orleans Saints, and now the Miami Dolphins. There’s another obvious association that I think he’s trying to put behind him so I’ll leave that (her) be.

Same Name is a CBS reality program that takes an ordinary person who shares a name with a celebrity and swaps their lives for a few days.

On last nights episode, the NFL’s Reggie Bush traveled to Danville, IL to live the life of contractor/farmer Reggie Bush, and what ensued was something neither of them had ever experienced in their lives.

I am an Illinois native and by and large it is a rural state, so the fact that celeb Reggie had to gather his own eggs from a coop for breakfast, mow an expansive lawn on a tractor (shirtless I might add), and catch and feed pigs is of no surprise-but he took it all in stride.

He even went to Danville Reggie’s job for the day, preparing low income housing units for new tenants. While there, he took photos with residents.

Meanwhile, Danville Reggie flew to Los Angeles on a private jet and had the time of his life. He lived in Reggie Bush’s Hollywood Hills home, wore his Super Bowl ring, rode around in his luxury cars, got his haircut by LA-based celebrity barber Jacki Brown, took a business meeting and hung out with other athletes at a bowling alley and at The Elite Performance Factory, a football training facility.

Those athletes included Concinatti Bengals linebacker Keith Rivers, Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Williams, New York Giants wide Receiver Ramses Barden, and former NFL players, Keary Colbert, Billy Miller and Dennis Northcutt.

Back in Danville, NFL Reggie spent time getting to know the Bush family and forged a special bond that resulted in his giving the gift of one year’s tuition to the mom, Cindy, an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii for the entire family, and a remodeled locker room for the football team of Schlarman Academy, the school the Bush sons attend and play for. Go, Toppers!

The previous episode of Same Name featured Mike Tyson and a family from Michigan. His experience with “Michigan Mike” was just as heart warming. CBS definitely has a hit show on their hands.

I strongly encourage you to view both full episodes. You can access them as well as some great still photos HERE.
