Dodgers Fans Appeal To Mark Cuban – Save Our Team

This may be a sports first. Have the fans of a professional sports organization ever campaigned for a new owner? That’s exactly what is going on in Los Angeles.

In light of the tempestuous divorce of the current owners, Frank and Jamie McCourt, the Dodger faithful have decided to take matters into their own hands.

With a website, markcubansavethedodgers.com, a twitter account, and a Facebook page fans are attempting to woo Dallas Maverick’s owner Mark Cuban. Its no secret that Cuban wants to own an MLB franchise; the baseball chips just haven’t fallen his way yet.

Until now? Reports say that the Jamie McCourt will ask for an immediate sale of the team.

Frank and Jamie McCourt in happier times.

Currently, Major League Baseball controls the Los Angeles Dodgers. Commissioner Bud Selig had seen enough and decided that a takeover would be best while the McCourts hash it out in court. Its no secret that the organization is in trouble financially. The team is third in the NL West, but attendance is down, and the stadium is crumbling.

Cuban could be in luck, if he’s interested and willing.

Ballertainment is officially on Cuban-Dodger watch.
