Lorenzen Wright 911 audio tape made public

Lorenzen Wright was murdered in the summer of 2010 and the case is still unsolved, but his mother, Deborah Marion, refuses to allow the memory of her son to be forgotten without justice being served.

Last week, Ms. Marion authorized the release of the 911 audio in which an emergency dispatcher shared with someone in the room that she heard what sounded like gunshots.

Wright’s call to 911 was routed to a Gemantown, TN call center, instead of one for Memphis police who could have responded more quickly to the location where the former NBA player was shot to death.

His mother, ever vocal about her son, is suing the counties of Germantown, Collierville and Shelby for the mishandling of his murder case.

Wright left behind six children from his marriage to ex-wife, Sherra Robinson-Wright. Robinson-Wright was recently outed for blowing almost all of a $1 million dollar life insurance payout that was supposed to be used to care for their children.
