Mother of Lorenzen Wright Speaks, Reward Money Only Six Grand

Lorenzen Wright Murder Still Unsolved

One year ago Monday the mother of Lorenzen Wright, Deborah Marion, reported him missing to local authorities in Memphis, TN.

Ten days later his decomposed body was found in a field off a road that led to her house. An autopsy revealed that he had been shot multiple times; left in the summer elements to die and rot.

I can’t get the images of Ms. Marion running past police to the scene of the crime to get to her baby, nor will I ever forget the images of his children filing past his casket at the funeral, all wearing hats representing the different teams he played for during his NBA career.

Ms. Marion sat down for a MUST-SEE interview with a reporter from local Memphis News Channel 3, WREG.

Did you hear her nearly say the word “she?” Hmmmmmm…..

Many speculated that Wright’s then estranged wife, Sherra, may have been involved in his disappearance and murder. Since the case remains unsolved, that notion is unfounded.

The reward money is surprisingly low. To date, only $6ooo is being offered for information that would lead to Lorenzen Wright’s murderer(s). Apparently, the Memphis Grizzlies are willing to add to the pot, but only if someone else or another entity will. I don’t really understand that, but ok.

Ms. Marion says that she has received tips, but those people will not go to authorities themselves and tell her she should share the info.

When asked by the reporter if she was afraid for her own safety, Ms. Marion said without hesitation, “no!” She then went on to say, “…I’m prayed up.”

Its clear that her life’s mission has become to find out who murdered her son.
