Jackie Robinson Day is to me, one of the most exciting and heartwarming days in all of sports.
It was 65 years ago that Jackie Roosevelt Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball and the league has done a great job of embracing and honoring his legacy.
Here are few of today’s tweets from MLB players….
Thank u Jackie Robinson!!!

I can’t really put into words what Jackie Robinson has meant to me personally, but one thing is certain. I’m eternally grateful for the man

ALL players will be wearing 42 as their jersey number today, but Jason Heyward of the Milwaukee Brewers will also be wearing these commemorative shoes today.
Thanks to the good folks over at Sole Collector for the photo.
If you’re headed to the ball park today to watch your team, feel free to share your photos with me on Twitter, @Ballertainment.
Happy #42!
