Saints to be without head coach Sean Payton for entire season

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roger Goodell gave us hints that he was a cold piece of work by the way he disciplined players like James Harrison and Ndamonkung Suh, but now he has gone and suspended a HEAD COACH for the entire 2012-13 season.

Sean Payton, who joined the New Orleans Saints as head coach in 2006, and led them to a Super Bowl victory in 2009 will be absent from the sidelines this year due to a bounty scandal (certain players on opposing teams were targeted for a monetary reward) that swept through the organization recently. His suspension begins April 1st.

But, that’s not all…..

Former Saints (and current St. Louis Rams) defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has been suspended indefinitely, effective immediately. Commissioner Roger Goodell will review his status at the conclusion of the 2012 season and consider whether to reinstate him, and, if so, on what terms.
New Orleans general manager Mickey Loomis was suspended without pay for the first eight regular-season games. In addition, Saints assistant head coach Joe Vitt has been suspended without pay for the first six regular-season contests.
To make matters worse, the team will forfeit second round picks in the 2012 and 2013 drafts. And they have been fined $500,000
    .

Saints owner Tom Benson must be boiling! Drew Brees is probably sick. Roman Harper could use a hug right about now, I’m sure.

The ramifications of this will be felt for years. Who Dat? No, really.
