Peyton Manning and Denver Broncos ink deal while Hines Ward retires

The Denver Broncos have reportedly signed Peyton Manning to a five-year, $96 million dollar deal.

During a press conference today, Manning expressed his excitement to join the Broncos and his eagerness to get to work. He recognizes the challenges that lie ahead, but feels he could go this weekend and play if he needed to. It will be interesting to see how he fares this coming season. Will he hold up? Can he be effective? We’ll see. Those pay checks are great incentive.

General Manager John Elway went all out to land the former Indianapolis Colts QB, and who’s surprised? Everyone knew he wasn’t enthralled with Tim Tebow.

Can the Broncos now relive the time when a second-chance elite QB takes their organization to Super Bowl glory? Will the football gods be so generous?

In other news, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward has announced his retirement.

Its sad to see him leave the game, but this day comes for every player.
