Games One of NBA Playoffs Awesome and Entertaining

Oh, what a wonderful weekend. Basketball fans around the globe were treated to some amazing NBA playoff matchups. This years competition is head and shoulders above that of recent years past, and it is quite pleasing.

In the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls rallied late behind a push by Derrick Rose to win against the Indiana Pacers, 104-99. The Atlanta Hawks beat the Orlando Magic, 103-93, even with a 46 point effort from Dwight Howard. The Miami Heat edged the Philadelphia 76ers, 97-89, and Ray Allen sealed the deal with a three-pointer to win over the New York Knicks, 87-85.

Over in the West, The San Antonio Spurs fell to the Memphis Grizzlies, 98-101. The defending champion Los Angeles Lakers missed the mark against the Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets in a 100-109 loss. Jason Kidd’s veteran leadership heped the Dallas Mavericks prevail against the capable Portland Trail Blazer, 89-81, and in the most appealing series, the Oklahoma Thunder took one at home against the Denver Nuggets, 107-103.

This was a case of being able to sit, without boredom or interruption to watch each and every game with sheer delight.

Tonight, the playoffs continue as the Sixers faceoff against the Heat in game 2 at American Airlines Arena, 7 PM ET, and the Bulls host the Pacers again at United Center, 9:30 PM ET, both on TNT.
