Woodson Got it Right – Packers Will See Obama

Congratulations to the World Champion Green Bay Packers. They defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 to win Super Bowl XLV. The Pack made it clear early on that they were serious about taking the Lombardi Trophy back to Wisconsin.

Super Bowl Champion Charles Woodson

Charles Woodson, the appointed team leader and successful CB left the game before the half with a collarbone injury. He wasn’t the only one, as several players from both teams suffered minor injuries. Jerry Jones deserves the sided-eye for that.

Aaron Rodgers should be able to stand in the light alone now. He won Super Bowl MVP. Put the Brett Favre comparisons to rest. He led his team to the land of cheese and honey. Its over.

Come August, the team will make the customary trip to the White House for a visit with President Obama. This will be a very special visit since Woodson called it two weeks ago, and I think the meeting between the two will be spirited and humbling.

Now, can the month of April get here sooner? I’m ready for the 2011 draft.
