Jay-Z releases Barclays Center doc on his birthday [VIDEO]

First, let me pass these Ballertainment Birthday wishes to Mr. Carter. Happy 43rd, sir.

In honor of his birthday (I suppose), Jay-Z released a 24 minute documentary titled Where I’m From: JAY Z Barclays Center Documentary where he tells the story of how he became involved in the Nets to Brooklyn project which lead to his ownership stake.

If you’ve never gotten a glimpse into that inner workings of a concert this short documentary not only offers a nice peek, but you also get to see how grand and special Barclays Center is and why.

Advance the ball to watch the video…

Eight shows in eight days to christen the new arena and welcome the Brooklyn Nets home. I ain’t mad.

One of the things I respect most about Jay-Z is his loyalty to his camp. In the video, of course you saw the beautiful Beyonce, but there was also Chaka Pilgrim, John Meneilly,
Ty Ty Smith, and Young Guru, all whom have been by his side for years.

The woman on the train, Ellen, was very cool. Seriously, I was waiting for Jay to ask her if she wanted to attend the show. I’m sure she would have had the time of HER LIFE.

Oh, and someone tell him to slide that Porsche key my way….
