Kobe Bryant becomes fifth NBA player to score 30,000 points
Kobe Bryant hit a milestone today that put him in a unique “fraternity.” He scored his 30,000th career point in the NBA and became the fifth player to do so behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan, and Wilt Chamberlain.
Bryant surpassed Shaquille O’Neal on the list Wednesday when the Lakers visited the New Orleans Hornets.
The Lakers defeated the Hornets in that matchup 103-87.
Kobe Bryant has played his entire career as a Los Angeles Laker. He was traded just after being drafted 13th overall by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996. Bryant is 34-years old.
Hats off, Bean.
We’ll see you in the HOF.
