Charles Barkley is over and done when it comes to Dwight Howard

Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley has never been one to hold his tongue and that is why he so beloved. But Dwight Howard might not feel the same after Barkley voiced his opinion about the Howard trade saga.

From the Los Angeles Times:

On Thursday, Charles Barkley went on Philadelphia radio station 97.5 and said, “I love Dwight Howard as a person and as a player, but he’s getting on my last damn nerve.”

Howard’s indecision has become as unpalatable as LeBron James’ decision.

“The last 24 hours it’s been all Dwight Howard, nonstop,” Barkley said. “It’s not fun; nobody wants to hear it. It’s not good for the game, not good for the fans. I’m really sick of it.”

Sir Charles is not alone.

It feels like Dwight Howard is holding the NBA and its fans hostage. A decision seems elusive and in the process he seems like a jerk.

Now that the New Jersey Nets are out of the running for his services (they re-signed Brook Lopez to a lucrative long-term deal after their proposed trade fell to pieces), the Houston Rockets presented themselves as the most eager and capable suitors, willing to bet the house on Howard, but the Los Angeles Lakers are likely the most desirable team for Howard. We will have to wait and see what type of hocus pocus Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak can pull from his hat.

Wherever Dwight Howard ends up next season, I sure hope its worth it, because this is a mess.

Which team will win the Dwight Howard sweepstakes?
