MLB suspends outfielder Delmon Young 7 games for anti-Semetic tirade

The suspensions are rolling in pro sports today.

First, Rajon Rondo gets suspended by the NBA, and now Bud Selig and Major League Baseball have decided that Detroit Tigers outfielder Demon Young should meet the same fate in the form of a seven-game “vacay.”

Young was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated assault and could face hate crime charges for launching a barrage of anti-Semetic insults at a Jewish panhandler (deemed so because the man was wearing a yarmulke) then getting physical with another man who jumped in on the madness — all while on a road trip to New York to face the Yankees.

Although not an excuse for his behavior, it is said that young was intoxicated. When that liquid courage is unleashed, look out.
