Derrick Rose set to move into Trump Tower Chicago

Derrick Rose has new digs. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Rose has purchased a 2.8 million condominium in Chicago’s Trump Tower.

This is real life “movin’ on up,” just like George and Weezie from The Jeffersons. Rose, like songstress Jennifer Hudson grew up in Englewood on the city’s mighty South Side. But, don’t let his fortune fool you, Derrick is true to his roots as evidenced by the location of the condo he chose….

Derrick had a choice on the view. He could have looked northeast, and those units are available, but I think he has an affinity for the South Side,” said Andrew Glatz, president of Chicago-based brokerage Crown Heights Realty. “Before a game, Derrick is going to be able to look out and see the city. Perfect views of the ‘Madhouse on Madison.’ It’s the kind of view that will really get him pumped up.”

The condo takes up half the 84th floor of the tower, and the reining NBA MVP will enjoy access to 24-hour concierge service as well as gourmet room service.

In more Rose news, whilst driving his Bentley Tuesday in bumper to bumper traffic on a stretch of I-90 known as “The Kennedy,” he was rear-ended by a driver in a Saturn.

The Chicago Bulls guard was also fined $25K by league commissioner David Stern for comments he made against the refs who officiated Monday’s Bulls game against the New York Knicks.

Wow. He has a whole lot going on.
