Tuesday, the National Football League announced that it will play its first Wednesday night game in nearly 65 years.
Why the change, you ask?
The Democratic National Convention is being held that week, and President Barack Obama is slated to speak on Thursday (the NFL season has customarily kicked off on the first Thursday of September).
This is chess, not checkers. The president trumps pigskin and fantasy football players everywhere will be setting their lineups a day earlier.
