Chris Johnson Signs New Deal WIth Titans, You Can Draft Him Now

After setting things off on Twitter yesterday, Chris Johnson can now get back to the business of football with a new contract with the Tennessee Titans.

Johnson agreed to terms Thursday on a 4-year extension worth $53.5 million, with $30 million of that guaranteed. That’s great money for a running back.

It appears that Johnson’s determination payed off and both sides can put this behind them and get ready for Kickoff Sunday. I don’t know what type of conditioning Johnson was doing all this time, but he missed all of training camp, and the chance to bond with his new quarterbacks.

Johnson is the premier running back this season, so if you took a chance and drafted him already, good for you. If your fantasy draft is on deck, go get him.

Last year, he rushed for 1,364 yards with 11 touchdowns, a considerable drop from his 2009 numbers of 2,006 total rushing yards and 14 TD’s, but still exceptional.
