I love the way Carmelo Anthony has broadened his horizon. Within the past year he has become a husband, gotten a new, sexier job in New York City, and aligned himself with some new brands. Now, we can add male model to the list. Within the next month or so Carmelo will bless the pages of Vogue Italia in his first high fashion spread.
Of the actual shoot, Carmelo says….
It was just me in a fashion spread, six to eight pages, something like that,” he said. He couldn’t remember all of his outfit changes, but there was a Versace tux, a John Varvatos suit, and, he thinks, perhaps something from Tommy Hilfiger.
On using the opportunity as a way to reach a European fan base, he says….
Basketball is growing over there in Europe; it’s getting bigger and bigger. Not as big as, like, China, not yet, but it’s getting there….
