The NBA’s ultimate Bad Boy will have the honor of watching his jersey hoisted to rafters of The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Future Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman was notified that the Detroit Pistons will retire his #10 jersey tonight as the Pistons take on MVP frontrunner Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls.
Ever humble, ever shy, and always with his heart on his sleeve Rodman had this to say of the honor:
I thought it was an April Fools’ joke when they called me about it the first time,” Rodman said. “I was shocked. I don’t think I should have my jersey retired because I was probably the fifth most important guy on those teams.
