Russell Westbrook out, has torn meniscus surgically repaired
The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without starting guard Russell Westbrook for the remainder of the playoffs after he suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee.
Westbrook suffered the injury during Wednesday night’s matchup against the Houston Rockets at Chesapeake Energy Arena during a questionable collision with guard Patrick Beverley.
Surgery to repair the tear was successfully performed, Saturday.
Second-year player Reggie Jackson will step in to lead the team at the point, as the Thunder lead the series 2-0.
