Bears part ways with linebacker Brian Urlacher
Brian Urlacher is no longer a member of the Chicago Bears.
I’ll be damned if I wasn’t just singing a swan song about this in the hopes they would keep him.
The Bears had this to say in a statement released this evening….
Brian has been an elite player in our league for over a decade. He showed great leadership and helped develop a winning culture over his time with the Bears. We appreciate all he has given our team, on and off the field. Brian will always be welcome as a member of the Bears.
This is funny, but not funny, because they were just singing his praises and trying to work the numbers to keep him.
Looks like Phil Emery and the Bears were playing the shell game.
Urlacher is certain to get another job, if he wants one, but I’m sure this isn’t the way he wanted to leave Chicago.
He will be missed.
