Calvin Johnson sets new NFL Single-Season Receiving Record
Calvin Johnson and his Detroit Lions team mates may have suffered a loss Saturday night to the Atlanta Falcons, but the Pro Bowl receiver made NFL history by surpassing the 1995 single-season receiving record of hall-of famer Jerry Rice.
In the pre-holiday matchup, Johnson had 11 catches for 225 yards, bringing him to 1,892 yards on the season. Rice’s single-season record was 1,848 yards.
The Lions host the Chicago Bears for their final matchup of the season.
