Jason Kidd took to his Twitter account Friday to express a bit of remorse for the unfortunate incident in the Hamptons last weekend that resulted in him crashing his Cadillac Escalade into a utility pole, and subsequently being arrested on DWI charges.
The almighty PR machine never gets a break, does it?
Kidd and his wife, Porschla Kidd (formerly Coleman) are picture below attending a charity event where famed director and philanthropist George Lucas was being honored.
It was the partying after this event that took Kidd over the limit.

On July 5, it was announced that Kidd, an 18 year veteran, signed a multi-year deal to join the New York Knicks. He has spent the past five season as a member of the Dallas Mavericks.
Kidd is a 10-time NBA All-Star and won a NBA Championship with the Mavericks in 2011.
