I appreciate Shaquille being honest about not trying to send a message to his peers or aspiring athletes by pursuing hire education. As Charles Barkley once reminded us, every celebrity is not our role model.
Yet, by saying “If Shaq can do it, you can do it,” the former NBA All-Star and champion lent a vote of confidence to people of all walks of life, anyway.
Dr. O’Neal earned his degree May 5, 2012 at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida.
