VIDEO: Reebok Interviews Lauryn Hill About Relevance of Miseducation Album

Reebok and Rock The Bells continue to collaborate on the Reebok Classic project, giving artists (including Cypress Hill and Nas) a platform to discuss the elements and inspiration behind their classic albums.

Of the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Lauryn said,

I made the music that I wanted to hear, and when you find that other people wanna hear that too, you know what I mean? How could you not be excited about that?

It warmed my heart when Lauryn mentioned being “fed” off the music that her parents listened to when she was young. She speaks for many of us in that sense. Music plays such an intricate part in our daily lives, our culture, our culture, and our sports, so the quality of those sounds and verses is very important. What we feed our children and society musically now is sad.

Job well done Reebok, Lauryn’s album is a bonafied classic, just like some of your sneaks. You had great players in your basketball shoes, like Shaquille O’Neal and Shawn Kemp.
