Dennis Rodman Selects Phil Jackson As His Hall Of Fame Presenter

According to Piston Powered, Phil Jackson will introduce Dennis Rodman during his Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame induction, per Rodman’s wishes.

Rodman was a member of the Phil Jackson-coached Chicago Bulls during the ’95 − 97 seasons, when the Bulls accomplished their second three-peat.

Jackson once said of him, “Rodman is the greatest athlete I’ve ever coached.”

Mind you, Jackson coached Michael Jordan, and clearly, he’s no chopped liver.

The 2011 Enshrinement Ceremony will be held Friday, August 12th at Naismith headquarters in Springfield, Massachusetts. Rodman’s fellow inductees are Teresa Edwards, Tara Vanderveer, Arvydas Sabonis, Reese Tatum, Artis Gilmore, Tom Sanders, Herb Magee, Chris Mullin, and Tex Winter. It must be noted that Tex Winter was a member of Phil Jackson’s coaching staff and the architect of the infamous “triangle offense.”
