Derrick Rose Named 2011 NBA MVP – Youngest Ever

Derrick Martell Rose has been named Most Valuable Player for the 2010-2011 NBA season.

Derrick Rose has lead his team into the second round of the playoffs which they began Monday (with a loss and Rose’s re-twisted ankle) against the Atlanta Hawks.

Despite the twist, Rose is expected to play in Game 2, Wednesday at United Center.

Th Chicago Bulls star guard is the YOUNGEST player to ever be awarded MVP. For the 2010-11 season he averaged per game, 25 pts, 7.7 assists, 4.1 and boards.

The coach of the Chicago Bulls, Tom Thibodeau was named Coach of the Year on Sunday, May 1st.

With these two awards, the onus lies on the Bulls to tighten the ropes against the Atlanta Hawks in order to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Hawks have more playoff experience, and for that they pose a threat, but when the Bulls play together as a TEAM, they are tough to beat. This series should go six games.
