Ev and Ocho canceled
Ev and Ocho has been canceled by VH1, so if you were anticipating its debut, find some other reality show to latch onto.
In light of this past weekends events (a domestic battery charge, hospitalization, and job loss) involving married couple Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada, the network decided that moving forward with the show was not the best move.
A statement from VH1 reads:
Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it,” a VH1 rep confirmed to MTV News about the football player, who used to go by the name Chad Ochocinco.
Chad and Evelyn, who admittedly met and began dating, via Twitter landed the show as a spin off of Basketball Wives.
Basketball Wives gave Evelyn, who was once engaged to former NBA player Antoine Walker, a level of fame she may have never achieved had she not become the show’s resident Evilene and fire starter.
Chad and Evelyn wed just over one month ago, on the 4th of July, and in a matter of 48 hours, they have lost their livelihoods and perhaps their union.
Shame.
