Los Angeles Lakers beat Golden State Warriors in OT

The Lakers beat the Warriors in an overtime barn burner Saturday night in Oakland. This was the return game for Steve Nash, and after being sidelined for 24 games, and he was a breath of fresh air. It wasn’t a perfect game — the Lakers had to overcome a double digit second quarter deficit just stay in the game, but in the end they prevailed, closing things out 188-115.

Kobe Bryant scored 34 points, followed by Metta World Peace with 20. Dwight Howard contributed 11 points and 6 rebounds, while Steve Nash ended the night with 12 points and 9 dimes.

Jarrett Jack led all scorers for the Warriors with 29 points and 11 assists. Stephen Curry was 3-for-10 from the three-point line. Hmmmmmm….

Anyway, this win should give the Lake Show a boost as they have been struggling as of late. Maybe they will hit their stride now that Nash is at the helm.

The Lakers host Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks at Staples Center on Christmas Day in one of five NBA games scheduled that day.
