Dear Jerry Jones, Terrell Owens has baby mama bills, let him play

Terrell Owens

Dear Jerry Jones,

I am writing to ask that you consider signing Terrell Owens this season.

This is not a sympathy plea but more so a suggestion to roll the dice.

You are a man of great ambition and fortitude. We all know you like to do it big, as evidenced by that gargantuan, luxe stadium you built in Texas. With all due respect, you have not done anything big, bold, or exciting in a while. What gives?

I’m sure there are many folks out there who are surprised you’ve kept QB Tony Romo around this long. If you are willing to stick with him, why not chance it with T.O.?

Listen, its no secret that Terrell Owens has been least favorite in several locker rooms, and that his desire for adulation and shine is oft times unbearable, but the man is undeniably talented. Just take a look at what he did for your beloved Dallas Cowboys when he played there from 2006-2008….

235 receptions, 38 touchdowns, and 1 turnover. Only one.

At age 38, I know he isn’t the same player he used to be, but is that what we really expect from him?

At this point, his experience and maturity (don’t laugh) are his greatest assets. He doesn’t have to play every down nor does he have to be the star. Leave all of that to Miles Austin and Dez Bryant; they are more than capable.

What Terrell Owens needs is a chance — one last shot at success. What he also needs is a means and way to knock out some of that back child support he owes.

Come on, Mr. Jones. Have a heart.
