Serena Williams exits the first round of a Grand Slam for the first time in her career, after being defeated (4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3) at the French Open at Roland Garros by 4th ranked Virginie Razzano, a french native. In a match that lasted three hours and three minutes, the ladies battled through eight match points. Williams seemed unnerved at times throughout the match, even shedding tears at the changeover for the third set.
